Purpose:
Ellsworth believed that as a black man education and knowledge was the way that you could free your mind, and obtain as much as possible in this life.
The Foundation will award $1,000 to an economically disadvantaged African American male graduating senior, who must be a resident of Washington, DC and attending a DC public High school with a 3.5 or higher GPA. The young man must be committed to attending a university majoring in Accounting, Business and/or Computer Science.
